My New Favorite Foundation & It’s Clean
Burt’s Bee’s Foundation is my new favorite foundation because they’re clean & affordable! They’re SO good I couldn’t wait a minute longer to tell you more about them!
Eeeek I don’t wear foundation every day, but I do like a clean canvas every once in awhile if you know what I mean. The thing is, foundation is one of those a products that gets put all over my face, lots of skin coverage – meaning, I get paranoid about the ingredients, especially in my current foundations. I checked one of the foundations I use most often in the Think Dirty app and it came back rated 8! That’s in the RED zone. Holy sweating. I don’t like the sounds of that one bit.
So I went on the hunt & found something significantly better in every way.
I am completely flabbergasted that I didn’t hear about this Burt’s Bee’s Foundation sooner you guys. What the heck.
The Burt’s Bees Goodness Glows Foundation Perks & Critique:
PERK* More affordable than most other foundations:
At $16.99 this product is yet another example of finding non-toxic products that are actually CHEAPER than their toxic counterparts. For this reason alone, I don’t see why any of us need to be buying chemically charged beauty products. No thanks, take your chemicals & I’ll keep my monies.
PERK* Full fucking coverage:
I was worried the foundation was going to be a bit runny or watery, as I’ve found more affordable foundations can end up that way, but I was wrong. This foundation offers fantastic coverage. You don’t need a lot of product, just a few little dots will go a long way and you can always build if you’re wanting even more coverage. (A quick tip for all your foundations, shake the bottle well before application so you get good product out of the bottle.)
PERK* Long-lasting:
Because Burt’s Bee’s Foundation appeared to answer all my foundation prayers, I felt like it had to have at least one fault. And I assumed I would see that fault in its lasting power. WRONG. On day one I had to wear this foundation from the early morning until a night out. A LONG day. And I wanted it to stay looking fresh, like I didn’t turn into a melting clown by 11pm. To my surprise, the foundation did its job better than I would have expected from one of my holy grail foundations. WTF.
PERK *Low toxin rating:
Obviously. All shades of the Burt’s Bee’s foundation have a pretty good ingredient list. No secret chemicals sneaking in this product, which I absolutely love. Knowing that valuable information makes wearing it that much better.
CRITIQUE* A matte finish:
The only critique I have for this foundation is that it applies matte. If you have oily skin, you’ll likely consider this a perk because it’ll look beautiful soaking into your skin. For someone like me, without oily skin, it’s very matte compared to what I’m used to. However, I started applying a moisturizer with a drop of oil mixed into it on my face prior to applying the foundation & I’m extremely happy with the results. My skin needed a little extra hydration to get my preferred finished look!
I’ve ordered almost every single beauty product from Burt’s Bee’s. I got too excited & had a manic moment on their website. Everything is so affordable & most of it is toxin-free! How could I not?
It’s worth mentioning, I recommend buying the foundations online, if you go in-store you likely won’t find the color or product that you’re needing – save yourself the frustration. Just remember when ordering online try to meet the min. shipping limit so you can get free shipping! Stock up on your beauty products in one go so you don’t have to waste money reordering in a month. And trust me, you guys are going to love the foundation!
