3 Reasons All Pet Owners Need To Know This Online Service

I’m definitely going hard on the crazy cat lady {but actually dog lady} status lately.  I recently gave you 3 tips to raising a naughty puppy, into a sweetie dog.  Then, celebrated my Bernice’s birthday, and now I’m dropping the dog food & treat bomb on you too.  What can I say, no human kids to exploit, I work with what I have.

My 1st Panic Attack & An Intro To My Anxiety

We all get nervous & feelings of being anxious.  And a lot of us have gotten excellent at pushing through nerves & coming out the other end feeling proud + accomplished.  But then there’s this little devil that’s a step above nerves, anxiety.  I’ve wanted to write about my anxiety for a year now but every time I sit down to do it, I back out.

I had my 1st panic attack almost 2 years ago & have had anxiety issues since then.  I’ve always known nerves, but never panic.  And never severe anxiety.  Anxiety that I felt like I couldn’t control on my own.

There was a lot happening at the time of my first panic attack that likely led to it, but in all honestly my anxiety has been somewhat random since then.  There are certain scenarios I think will trigger anxiety, and other scenarios I feel like I’ll be comfortable in – then, the exact opposite happens.

10 {NEW} TV Series & Movies You Can Watch Tonight

There’s nothing better than finding a good Netflix list.  It’s arguably better than finding a $20 bill in your pocket.  This list isn’t solely Netflix picks, but why limit ourselves?  It’s 2018, don’t act like Netflix is the only thing you have on your TV’s.

My list is excellent if I do say so myself.  The perfect amount of feel-good, comedy, drama, suspense w a mix between movies & series.  Also, I did my best not to include the obvious: Chef, Orange is the New Black, New Girl, Friends, ect.  If you haven’t already watched those 900 times over, I don’t know how to approach you.

We shall wait no longer…

5 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (big savings) Picks

The Nordstrom Sale is my excuse to shop there!  Nordstrom is not my number 1 place to shop throughout the year, but come the anniversary sale, seeing all the fashion bloggers talk about it, I get major FOMO.

I’m a professional SALE shopper.  I don’t like wearing the same outfit everyday because I like shopping, therefore I don’t want to spend major money on 1 sweater.  I’ll feel like I need to wear the sweater 246 days in a row to make sense of the purchase.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is all the rage because it’s brand name & new items w discounts.  You won’t have to dig through racks of damaged clothes or items from last season – the sale is all new, trending, and ready for fall.  Mmmmmmmkay.

My thoughts on the Nordstrom Sale? Look for the major savings.  Get those brand name pieces you wouldn’t typically purchase, that you’ll use/wear for a long time, and stop at that

It’s Okay To Say No Thank You To Food & Alcohol

FOOD & ALCOHOL!  This is a topic that I’m becoming more familiar with than I ever wanted to be.  I always knew food & alcohol had a special place in everyone’s lives but had no idea the true significance.

Every time you turn on the TV I can promise you’ll see either FOOD or ALCOHOL or someone talking about one of those two things.  You don’t realize it until you don’t do it anymore.

3 Easy Tips to Raising Your New Puppy

You’re thinking about getting a puppy.  Now what?  I have you covered.  If you’re going to do this right, a puppy is a lot of work.  Whenever I see a cute puppy picture I do the opposite of a lot of people & let out a ginormous sigh.  Puppy’s look precious & cute, but they have the actual devil inside of them, disguised by soft fluffy fur.  & the devil that had 17 cups of coffee this AM.  I may have pushed the boundaries a little with my maturity & adopting Bernice because I don’t think I fully understood it would be like having a human 2 yr old.  The nice thing is, it doesn’t have to be out of control for very long if you train the puppy right.

Lucky for me, I made 3 decisions in the very beginning with Bernice that makes her the easy dog that I have now.

Basics: A Simple Turkey Burger, Recipe

Now that I’ve been honest about my ongoing allergy status I feel like I can talk!  I’ve been hesitant to share what I’ve been eating, without an explanation, because I thought you would wonder what the hell I was doing.  Why aren’t you adding GARLIC!?

Now I can be freeeeee!

Here’s a funny discovery – I’ve been eating what I consider boring, bland, basic foods.  I easily get full & I eat a lot of food, but it’s nothing spectacular or complicated.

HOWEVER, every single time I eat & someone is around – they’re wanting to eat my food.  And not just a bite, they want it.  All of it, as their meal.  That came as a huge surprise to me – why would anyone want in on my Veggie Rice when they can eat french fries, pizza, hamburgers, or spaghetti?

At first I was annoyed, I was making my personalized foods & bringing my meal with me everywhere I went in order to make sure I would be comfortable eating.  When everyone else wanted in on the ONE thing I could eat at the table, I was left a little… hangry.

I quickly learned.  Now, I make a lot of whatever I’m eating & share it with everyone – rather than assume they won’t like it.  This has also proven how willing people are to eat healthy when it’s in front of them.  As much as everyone wants to deny it, simple & healthy foods can also be delicious!  Sharing my food & knowing people actually like it? Makes me feel relieved about my diet situation.

{Wafiq’s the worst ever because I ask him if he wants to eat what I’m having & he always says no.  Like, he would never touch it.  Then I make my meal & he literally wants to trade what he’s having for mine.  Highly annoying.}

All this leads me to turkey burgers!

I’ve been using ground turkey as a way to add variety into my diet.  Rather than beef everyday, I mix in turkey.  If you’ve ever cooked with ground turkey before you know it’s a lot harder to make into burgers than beef, because it’s ‘wet’.  I knew in order to make it work for me, I’d have to add something to soak up the moisture, but I can’t do bread crumbs.  So I went for my bestie – Hot Rice Cereal.  Mix turkey, egg, cereal, salt + pepper and you have yourself some delicious, simple turkey burgers!

Anaphylactic Shock: My Update

I wish I did NOT have an updated post about my allergies & I could come back to you saying everything has been excellent!  OMG I dream of saying – my anaphylactic shock was a complete fluke!  Unfortunately, that’s not the case.

The worst part, I still don’t have answers.

Since my first Anaphylactic Shock situation (here), I ended up having another one.  I chose not to share that info because I instantly knew I wasn’t going to have a clear answer as to why this was happening to me.  All my doctors said “it won’t happen again”.   And when it actually did happen again, pretty close after the first time, I knew I was in trouble. Which would leave the door open for questions, assumptions & scary conclusions.  I didn’t want that type of vulnerability out there for peeps to pick at.

Amazon Prime Recent Finds | Summer ’18

It’s been awhile since I shared my Amazon Prime favorite orders!  We’ve been through this, Amazon Prime is better than Target. OMG I went there.  Don’t worry, Target still has it’s place.  It’s evolving into a store that has more than your random pretty nail polish color & hairbrushes – it has beautiful home furnishing & unique clothing.  So no, Target ain’t going anywhere.

BUT Amazon Prime is here to stay as well, so if you’re not on board it’s time to be!  The key to using Amazon well, is getting used to ordering things you need right away, rather than making a list & waiting until your next trip to the store.  Once I find the products I like, I reorder so easily because you can see you’re order history. Great for people that can’t remember anything.

And if you’re on the hunt for new products, Amazon is particularly awesome because review’s reveal all!

2 pack Collapsible Dog Bowl:

If you have a dog, and you don’t own 1, 2, 3 or 7 of these collapsible dog dishes – then you’re either not giving your dog enough water, or you’re not taking your dog on enough walks.  Ha! I’m hardcore.  These little bowls are tiny enough to throw in my purse, so anytime I have Bernice out of the house – I also have one of these bowls.  Just in case.  I also leave one in the car.

Rose Gold Bulldog Paper Clips:

I’m not sure what these clips are made for but I bought them because the plastic chip clips I had in my kitchen were braking, DAILY!  These clips are sturdy, & pretty.  I LOVE THEM. I use them to seal chip bags, popcorn bags, frozen french fry bags, oatmeal, or anything else that needs a clip!  They really seal everything easily.

4 Swimsuits You’ll Want To Wear

Can’t find a swimsuit you love?  You’re looking in the wrong places!  YOU. GUYS.  I went to work for you this week.  I went to all the stores trying on bathing suits to find the best place with the perfect bathing suit.

A couple things need to be made clear from the beginning.  A one-piece suit is not meant for ladies with ting tangs.  It doesn’t work.  I tried them all on & a one-piece is just not something I can suggest.  Another thing, you have to go to girls clothing stores in order to find suits you’re comfortable in.  I determined why – swimsuits for younger girls don’t encourage nip slips.  Department stores, woman stores, and higher end brands are all pointed to trendy, fashion bathing suits… BUT they’re not functional.  If you’re okay with an occasional nip slip & sheer fabrics, your options are endless.  If you’re  looking for something comfortable & functional – go to girls swimwear >> think:  American Eagle, PacSun, Hollister, ect.  I haven’t been in those store for years but they’re back on my radar.

Also, if we’re being honest here, I’ve never been a bikini babe.  I’ve never really been someone who sits & sunbathes.  It’s too hot, like I’m uncomfortable & impatient…  Body confidence also comes into play, as it does for most of us.  BUT, I do love water sports; like skiing & I get excited about actually swimming.  Being on the lake, in a boat, laps at the pool, anywhere near or on water – makes me happy.

Because that’s how I tend to enjoy the pool, I don’t typically enjoy super skimpy swimsuits because… I don’t want to fall out of it while I’m swimming like small mouth bass through the water.  You feel me?

SO here’s the deal.  You need a variety of swimsuits so you can always feel confident when you have to be in one.  You need one that’s fun, one that’s very functional, and one classic.  That way you’ll always have something in your arsenal that’ll make you feel ready for any invite!

Let’s make the pool fun again!
