Trending: Blush Pink & 5 Ways To Bring It Home
After a weekend of interior design tours, I can say with confidence what I already assumed was a major trend: blush pink. It’s everywhere! According to my Instagram polls, most of you are on board. I’ve been waiting for pink to be on trend my entire life. I’m in.
Because I do real estate with Wafiq I also enjoy touring homes & seeing what the new trends are. That’s the best way to know what we can expect future clients to be asking for. Tribeza Interior Design Home Tours hosted the tour this Saturday & boy did I see some gorgeous homes! Major inspiration. And a lot of new trends coming to the surface – including COLOR. Specifically blush pink, lots of wallpaper, texture & shiny metallic accents. I’m loving interior trends heading in this direction, the all-white errrthang was getting a little boring for me. Probably because I’ve seen 708 houses designed that way. What can I say, people get what they want!
Trending: Blush Pink & 5 Ways to Bring it Home
Opalhouse Reversible Heart Patter Placemats: These placemats are the absolute cutest! I wanted to bring change in the house to get a fresh energy flowing so I grabbed a few of these placemats while I was in Target. Details can make a major difference. Not only are the hearts totally cool, but the other side is a blush pink w indented polka dots. If you want a small pop of pink, but don’t want to go all in with a piece of furniture, try these! Both sides are super cute & they’re affordable.
Pink Vintage Tufted Sofa Sleeper: That’s right, I’m going there – a pink sofa. IT’S TRENDING PEOPLE. I had my eyes on this sofa years ago & I still dream about it. It’s from WALMART! I know that sounds crazy but I heard someone else talking about how impressed they were w the quality & color, that’s all I need to hear. If you’re thinking about getting the sofa or making a full leap into the pink side, please do, for me. Absolutely dreaming of this sofa!
Mongolian Faux Fur Round Throw Pillow: I saw a ton of pink pillows used as accents throughout the homes I toured. That’s such an easy way to add blush pink to a room without a major cost commitment. Target pillows are THE SHIT. I have a lot of requirements – the level of softness, color, texture, price, style – all need to work. And Target hits the bullseye every single time. I have this round pillow in another color & LOVE it. The size & quality are both excellent. This pillow also hits the texture trend with a faux fur front & a suede back. Easily my favorite decorative pillow in the house.
Collapsible Back Blush Pink Loafer: Bring blush pink to your wardrobe with loafers. I have a pair very similar to these that I wear almost every day to work & someone always compliments them. When I first bought them I thought I would struggle to match them to outfits, but they work like a neutral!
Decorative Stoneware Vase: I noticed a ton of blush pink vases & bowls as accents placed throughout almost every home I saw on my interior design tour. If this bowl isn’t for you, go to Home Goods & find their blush pink options. Place a bowl in the center of your table, a vase on a side table with pink flowers, or place either on a shelf. (That’s what all the designers are doing, hehe)
Another tip that I didn’t officially include in the list but saw a lot of: PAINT. I can tell you after living in a few different apartments that paint is an affordable & easy way to change an entire space. Paint a piece of furniture, an accent wall, or an entire room with a pretty blush color of your liking. I noticed a ton of colorful paints throughout the homes & thought it was such an easy way to upgrade a room.
Are you into the blush pink trend? What about the wallpaper, or texture, or velvet? Let me know what catches your eye as you scroll through your Pinterest feeds.
Have a great day & be thoughtful!
