Alright, today’s a big day – we’re talking TRENDS. I’ve been seeing the big name bloggers & pretty models walking the runways. Through the common themes, there’s 1 trend in particular that I’ve seen appear over & over again that I’ll happily get on board with – Animal Print!
However, not all of us can be runway models or big name bloggers that attend each season of the Chanel fashion show. Although I think you’re absolutely perfect for the Versace, nipple baring runway – the casting directors may not feel the same way, and you know what? That’s fine. Save your nipples for your own runway.
GOOD NEWS – we can still wear the trends you guys! Yes, yes we can. For example, the animal print is right up my alley & I’m here to get you there too.
I discovered leopard in 2013 & haven’t looked back. I remember feeling conned that I hadn’t been introduced to the pattern sooner. Traditional, leopard is my favorite animal print. I’m open to experiment with others, but that’s my HELL YES pattern. It adds such a spice to your closet.
On Trend: Animal Print Joggers, 3 Ways
These pants are super comfy, affordable, they have pockets and fit in line with the animal print trend. My goal was to figure out a way, to wear such a specific print, in 3 different ways. To display the versatility of the pattern. I try to do this with anything I purchase that’s NOT neutral. If I can’t wear something more than once, it’s likely not a good fit for me. These pants are a great step into wearing animal print, and I’ll prove it!
LOOK 1, Casual:
Here’s the good news, I’m not a fashionista. I’m regular. If I can be regular & get away with animal print pants – you can too. Pairing these joggers with a slouchy white t is the easiest way to be both comfortable & trendy. Great for running errands, groceries, shopping, chilling, ect. I paired them with a simple initial necklace, nude flat & matching tote to pull the entire look together without a hitch!
LOOK 2, Matching Set:
This look takes commitment, but you should give it a try. Matching sets happen to be all the rage right now. Top & bottoms that come together as a set are not only seen everywhere on everyone – they’re also one of the easiest ways to get ready in the morning. They take ZERO thought. This top is styled like a cape & very comfy. I added a chunky gold necklace, pointed black heel + black tote, and my favorite red lip stain for winter.
LOOK 3, Business:
If you don’t think I’d wear these joggers to work, you don’t know me. I felt determined to bring these joggers up to a semi professional scale. I paired them with a black turtle neck bodysuit & mixed in a white heel. Yummy.
MMMkay! Animal print isn’t going anywhere either, I already have a few other pieces in my arsenal to be seen throughout fall & winter. Exploring: snake. Like I said, as easy as an all neutral closet is to wear, sometimes it’s fun to mix in a little spice. I ALMOST got Wafiq into the velvety leopard sweat suite at Zara – what can I say, great minds think alike. Ha!
In less eventful news, we’ve officially closed the door to our old apartment & are living with a friend until our new one is ready. Moving truly makes me want to get rid of everything I own, because is it necessary? When I had my suitcases in the car & Bernice in the passenger seat right after I closed the door to that apartment – I had major flashbacks to all the times we’d done this before. The car, Bernice, suitcases, but typically w no freaking plan. Starting from scratch… I’m a little glad those times are in my youth, but at the same time remember how fast things can turn around – so fear, less.
