Top 5 Favorite Stories of 2018 on MissBassmaster

My favorite part of the Missbassmaster online space is storytelling… That’s one of the reasons I started in the first place.  I’ve always loved writing.  Because there’s not a ton of drama in my life, being able to get dramatic with an otherwise average day feels adventurous.

The Perks Of Social Media

One thing I don’t understand? Mean people on social media.  The entire act of saying something horrible through a social media outlet, especially to someone you don’t know, is one of my biggest mysteries.  If only I could meet someone who does that & figure them out…

Thoughtful Challenge: Holiday Stress

With the beautiful holiday season upon us, I thought it would be a good time to encourage a thoughtful challenge.

With the gatherings that naturally happen around the holiday season & the exchange of gifts & meals shared there are plenty of times to be thoughtful of others.  You’re continually being thoughtful of the best gifts to give the people on your lists, the tastiest meals for people you’re serving, & planning get-togethers with your close friends.

BUT, what about YOU!

3 Tips To Conquer What You’re Grateful For

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!  There is nothing better than bringing everyone together over food in preparation of the winter months, we should make this a monthly thing.  Call it something else perhaps? I’m into family/friends gathering over a nice meal & hitting pause for a moment to hopefully be together.

Mercury Retrograde: The Planets Ain’t Aligned!

I had to set everything aside for this: Mercury Retrograde.  I never considered myself someone who’s interested in astrology, space, planets, ect.  BUT, I’ve heard enough people talking & I think I may have jumped on board, for now.  It’s STORY TIME!

Thoughtful Act Challenge: Social Media

To me, being thoughtful means slowing down & thinking about whatever situation you’re in.   I don’t typically say be positive or be kind because I don’t necessarily think that’s always the best advice.  I actually wish that wasn’t the advice I heard when I was younger.  I’ve learned there are specific scenarios where we shouldn’t be kind, that’s my opinion.  Especially as women, there are times I wish someone told me to be bossy, stand up for myself, don’t be pushed over or passive.  Of course those instances are rare but they do happen – therefore I encourage being thoughtful, which coincidentally often means being kind.

Today I’m following up on SOCIAL MEDIA.

How To Find Live Comedy In Your City

I’ve been waiting to share my thoughts on Live Comedy for a long time but didn’t know what angle to attack it! Because attacking it is exactly what I wanted to do.  I have yet to meet someone who doesn’t enjoy laughing.  Is there anything better than a deep, can’t breathe, crying laugh?  I don’t think a tropical Hawaiian vacation topped with perfect weather & chilled rose is better than a fantastic, hard, gut paining laugh.

If you can think of something better, challenge me.

CHANGE: The One Thing You Can Depend On

I used to use blogging as a journal, I would write down everything I did.  “I made eggs for breakfast, I’m so tired today, I’m happy it’s Tuesday”.  You OG Missbassmaster readers may remember, throwback to Dubai days.  But I haven’t blogged like that in a while.  Today, I’m taking you back, because I’m moving – not cities, just apartments.  I thought it was worthy of a full What’s Up with Me post because it falls in line with my allergy situation & I like keeping you updated on that journey.

Creating A Social Media Feed You Enjoy

One of my favorite activities in the world is purging household items.  Yes, even more than spending date night reading labels in the grocery story.  Don’t I sound like a good time?  The less you have, the better.    And when I say less, I’m referring to – clothing, kitchen tools, food, furniture, mail, pens, ect.  But today I’m taking it a step further.  We’re getting rid of any unwanted feelings, memory’s, or conditions.

We’re talking – SOCIAL MEDIA

5 Reasons To Get Up & Get Out Every Morning

I’m all about a good schedule these days.  Spending plenty of mornings in a rush to make it to my 1st meeting OR weekends unscheduled for open ended “fun”, left me feeling like I could be doing more w my precious time.  I’m still tweaking how I want to schedule my weekends, I’ll report back on that soon – but for now we’re discussing mornings.

You’re either a morning person or you’re not.  Am I right?

Thoughtful Act Challenge: Driving!

I’m all about perspective & being thoughtful today!  If there’s anything I’ve learned over the past 10 years it’s that all of us humans have our own issues going on.  As much as someone might want to appear perfect, we’re not.  That includes the person next to you, promise.  GO ahead, look at the person next to you, smile, and know, they have issues too.  Remembering no one is perfect is the trick.  I gots a yummy idea for you today – GET READY!

Why Getting My Ears Pierced Was So Important To Me

FYI I turned into a woman a week ago.  I GOT MY EARS PIERCED.  Since getting mine pierced, a lot of people asked if I wished my mom had done it for me when I was younger.  So I had to get my story out there!
