I’ve wanted to bring this website up to date since I started it 6 years ago.  And I’m incredibly excited to bring to you the new MISSBASSMASTER.

YOU GUYS!  This website!  I’m in love.  I’m still in a slight state of panic making sure every link is working & description is accurate BUT I think we’re close.  I’ve been deep into my website the past few days & will continue to be making sure everything is buttoned up (- go comment on any new posts you find so I can see what you’re reading!).

What’s New::

Organized Layout: I tried to add a little dimension to the blog, rather than boring new post followed by new post.  You’ll still see all my posts populate, starting with the newest at the top but laid out in a more web flattering way.  Dig around!

Monthly Newsletter:  I now have a MissBassmaster subscription!  I figure if you sign up, we’re friends.  I can share details I might be too shy to share online.  Once you sign up you’ll get a sweet welcome letter, followed by a newsletter once a month.  My goal is to make this newsletter as fun, to the point, and unfiltered as possible.  (think: fun magazine.)  Go sign up here!  I’ve been working feverishly hard on this & will have my first monthly letter sent out MARCH 1.  And every month after that.

Shop Page:  I now have an easy to navigate shop page!  You know I’m a creature of habit, those things I use daily will now be easy to find.  Think: white sneakers, my french press, the green pan, heart placemats, ect.  I also have a shop by outfit option where you can shop each picture for what I’m wearing.  If you follow my Instagram, the outfits you’ll see will typically be pulled from there.  Full disclosure, I love wearing sale items that I find off the rack in the back of clothing stores.  OR clothes from 5 years ago.  This means not everything in my photos will be linked to exact items – but I promise to always do my best to find similar options I would consider purchasing myself.

Latest Finds:  This is a little “ad” space if you will on my main page that I wanted to have visible so you can quickly see the most recent or most common products I’m always talking about.  Things I don’t shut up on, you’ll quickly be able to find them here…  Rather than do a “cookie” generic ad, I thought I would make my own ad space with products I’ve been loving. Fun right?

Pinterest Link:  I really wanted to make Pinterest an easy place to get to, and now it is.  You’ll notice a little box on my sidebar linking straight to my Pinterest page.  It’s hopping over there btw, if you haven’t visited my Pinterest page recently go take a peek.  I have 13,000 views daily guys, come see what’s up!  I pin every single day so it’s always changing.  Follow me & be friends so I can follow you back!  This is a new hobby & I’m loving it!

About Page & Info:  My About Page also got a facelift.  I wrote a new bio & have an entire list of FAQ’s on that page as well – with some new ones added.  I also added my all-time favorite posts on the About page so you can quickly reference my personal favorites!  A few old posts are truly gold mines, I had such a snappy yet fragile writing style back in the day, I’m a little obsessed with it.  Keep an eye on this page because I’ll be updating FAQ’s & favorite posts often!

Overall Navigation:  Ultimately, this entire website revamp was in efforts to make the website easier to navigate.  For example, I wanted search results to populate in a way that was easy to find what you’re looking for.  I wanted categories to get you to posts you’re actually interested in.  I wanted EASY for you! Including MOBILE.  My old site was not mobile friendly, and this site is! You can find the search bar at the very top so you can quickly get to whatever you’re looking for, while on your phone.

Take a look around!  I have a lot of ideas ahead, like I briefly mentioned before, I want to take it back to storytelling a little more than buy this or buy that… Of course, browsing the internet is my dream Friday night activity so I can never let go of that part – but be ready for stories, people, and more people ahead on MissBassmaster!

As usual, I will continue posting every Tuesday & Thursday morning.  If I decide to change that, I’ll let you know! I’ve heard posting at different times in the day makes a difference to the reader?  It doesn’t for me – but who knows.  Let me know if you have any thoughts on the posting schedule below.

Finally, thank you so much for reading & visiting my blog.  I know there’s not a lot of you, but there are enough.  There were times this year that I thought I was going to lose every single one of you, including Wafiq & my mom (which is nearly impossible since I force them to be here & ideally comment).  This year, I dealt with my allergy attack, which snowballed into some interesting posts on weddings, food, and lots of the F word.  And you guys didn’t stop following along.

Whether you’ve been my friend for a long time, you’re a family member, an Instagram follower, someone I met in the Middle East, a random stranger, a quiet follower, a curious cat – I truly appreciate you all so much for keeping this hobby alive.

I was a big-time loser in high school (my few friends were cool, I was not) & had extremely low self-esteem, forever… this blog & my Instagram has taught me to be brave with my thoughts & opinions – & believe in myself.  And you guys somehow manage to make me feel cool while doing it.

Having a small audience has its perks.  I feel like I can connect with every single person & appreciate each one of you. I really love you all.  And yes, LOVE.  Big word, big emotion, but I mean it.  That’s my jam this year, and I ain’t afraid of it.
