5 Hilarious Podcast Episodes You Can’t Miss

Podcasts are all the rage right now!  They’re perfect to listen to pretty much any time of day, even at work.  I wanted to share a few favorite episodes of mine to keep things specific in case you’re looking for a starting place.

Here’s the deal, and I fall victim to this too, new podcasts are hard to get into.  The Podcast world is as overwhelming as a free Saturday night & Netflix – absolutely crippling beyond!  And on the off chance you take your friend’s suggestion & make the effort to start a new podcast there’s still a possibility you picked an uneventful episode.  Just like TV Series, some podcasts have a bad episode.  Ew.

But let’s back up, because there may be some ancient Adams out there that haven’t explored the world of Podcasts & boy is this gonna rock your socks.  Podcasts you guys are on your phones, ok?  They’re like your favorite TV show coming through the speaker of your phone making it possible to listen to anytime, anywhere.  Imagine your favorite TV show had 7 million babies.  And the babies shared genes with their parents & are also… really fucking good.  All you need to do is get started!  The options are literally endless.  Plugin your earphones & have the perfect distraction during your entire workday.  A lot of podcasts are on YouTube now so you can watch them if you prefer.

To branch out from there, for my expert podcast listeners, I’m sharing a few episodes from some of my absolute favorite podcasts.  I wanted to be specific.  No need to browse or get scared when venturing from your regular favs – these episodes are easy to find & will hopefully help you discover your next podcast binge.  That’s a thing now.  I should mention, I’ve seen every single one of the people below LIVE.  Because I loved these episodes so much, so you can trust me.

5 Hilarious Podcast Episodes You Can’t Miss

The Joe Rogan Experience with Ari Shaffir #1135:

I’m not going to sugar coat this, a lot of my all-time favorite Podcast episodes come from The Joe Rogan Experience.  He’s so incredible at guiding conversation.  He has a surplus of comedians on his podcast which offers a lighter form of entertainment.  This episode w Ari Shaffir, in particular, was awesome because Ari is a fucking maniac, unapologetic, & kind of mean?  You can’t decide if you like him or not.  However, in this particular episode, he gets into his depression & specifically explains the weight the word depression can mean to some people.  Hearing someone talk about depression, especially a “normal” comedian is valuable.  He struggles to weigh in on ways to offer advice & I find that incredibly honest.  For people that feel normal, but carry the heavy weight of anxiety or depression on them, this episode will be relatable.  I recommend listening to the entire thing, it’s also extremely funny & the depression part is small in comparison.

King and the Sting w/Theo Von & Brendan Shaub Ep #5:

When I say podcast binging is a thing, The King & The Sting was my introduction to the idea.  I cruised through the episodes & have laughed out loud at many of them.  This episode had me laughing out loud while I was walking the stairs – I almost had to stop my workout.  You need an open mind with any of these episodes, but if you’re reading this I assume you do.

The Joe Rogan Experience with Tom Segura & Joey Diaz Ep #1000:

I’m hoping you’ve already listened, rolled around & laughed at, completely digested this entire episode because it’s one of the funniest podcasts I’ve ever heard.  Joey Diaz is incredibly unbelievable.  His stories are outrageous.  You don’t want to believe them but realize he couldn’t be making any of it up! He’s a storyteller & stories are what he has.  He’s been to jail for kidnapping I believe, he’s done plenty of drugs, I think even sold them?  And in this episode with Joe Rogan, you’ll die laughing because they really get each other going.  Go listen to all the Joey Diaz & Joe Rogan episodes.

The Juicy Scoop with Claudia from Girl with No Job Ep #384:

I would recommend starting this podcast with a recent episode when Heather McDonald interviews Claudia Girl with No Job.  They’re really funny together & it gives a glimpse of the comedy & conversation you can find throughout the podcast.  Heather McDonald is the popular girl that admits that’s her goal in life.   You know how most popular girls act like being popular was an accident?  Like “whoops all my friends are also popular, gorgeous, rich, and perfect!  How did that happen?!”.  Heather doesn’t have that whoops factor, she’s the honest version & it’s amazing to listen to.  She figures out how to climb the popular ladder & what’s at stake.  I love her.  I love the light, easy entertainment of each episode.  She’s unapologetic.  And she’s HILARIOUS.

Joe Rogan Experience with Tom Segura, Ari Shaffir, and Bert Kreischer Ep #1007:

I’m going to end this list with one more podcast from Joe Rogan!  You guys he has 1,000+ episdoes so you need to have some direction on where to start if you haven’t already.  I’ve listened to SO many episodes, I barely miss any, but this Sober October episode had me laughing so hard I almost had to leave my office.  I didn’t want to be caught listening to a podcast in my earphones but I couldn’t contain myself.  Who doesn’t liek to laugh??  omgomgomg you’re in the wrong place if that’s you.

I’ve noticed with a lot of podcasts they tend to cycle through the same guests & have similar conversations.  I think that’s what ends up keeping me away from listening to anything new.  Having said that, if you guys have any podcast recommendations plz share!  I prefer them over Netflix when I’m getting ready in the mornings.  If you have specific episodes?  Even cuter.

Have a great week!

be thoughtful
