Every year Halloween rolls through I’m either ALL in, or I take a minimal approach – but rarely skip it. I think it’s a good idea to have at least a simple backup costume on hand so you’re ready to go if you get a last minute invite somewhere that requires a costume, because showing up without a costume to a Halloween party is absolutely unacceptable.
If you’re going all in on your costume this year, having a backup for a spur of the moment night 2 Halloween celebration isn’t a bad idea either.
Below are 3 easy ideas I have on my mind this year. I’m going for simple & each one of the below options is something I’m considering for a quick Halloween moment. Because it’ll be a moment this year, very fleeing. It’s been a busy month!
3 Quick & Easy Halloween Costumes
Bunny Ears: If Carol Radziwill from the Real Housewives of NY can wear bunny ears on a Tuesday night, we can wear them on Halloween. I saw an episode of Carol wearing bunny ears out to dinner one random night & have been wanting to pull it off myself. Who can do that & how? I’m very on board. Ears are sexy, simple, and easy. Pair with all black & go for it in the same confidence Carol had on her Tuesday night out.
Skeleton Crop Top: I’ve always wanted to be a skeleton for Halloween & have had yet to master it. When my eyes caught this crop top it made sense! Overstated is not always necessary. A cute skeleton crop top paired with high waisted black pants & possibly a skeleton makeup look like this (here)? Love it! And I don’t think it’ll look as basic as a one piece skeleton outfit you can easily find online. Another key to a good Halloween costume is your own unique details!
Cat Mask: I’ve gone a little wild with costumes in the past & my efforts sink to the floor when someone walks in the door with a sexy cat mask & immediately looks flawless. You’re telling me I spent hours/days/years working on my costume & that chick spent $5 on hers & could probably beat me in a costume contest? So this year, I’m considering being that girl. Paired with some big lashes, all black, & a high heel? I’m there.
Fun, right? Do you guys dress up or skip Halloween all together? I happen to be a big fan of anything theme so I’ll take Halloween any day. This year, I’ll be taking one of the tips above. Between moving, working, traveling – I’m a little run tired. And have I mentioned I prioritize time for myself? I do. So before I stress out trying to make sure all the boxes are checked and my day is perfect – there’s only one box that matters, and that’s me time. Sign me up for the bunny ears.
