10 Empty Beauty Products I’m About To Reorder
Did You Know? “The ancient Celts called {May Day, May 1st} “Beltane”—the day halfway between spring and summer that coincides with the return of fertility to the earth. Young people would wake on Beltane morning knowing that they could be paired with a mate by sundown! If their courtship continued, the wedding would occur six weeks later, on June’s Midsummer’s Day.” (via)
This is my favorite post to find on YouTube & through blogs because anything empty must mean it’s TRUTH! Whether someone is paid to post something or given free products, if they’ve used it until it’s empty – it must be good.
There are a few things that I’ve had to repurchase recently, so I thought it was perfect timing to share!
Current EMPTY Products I’ll Be Repurchasing:
Rose Water Spray: I’m actually very satisfied w the Rose Water spray from Trader Joe’s, but I hate the packaging; it shoots your face too directly. I had an empty Mario Badescu Rose Water Spray bottle that I love, now I pour the Trader Joe’s Rose Water Spray in the that bottle, & continue to refill + use. I love this stuff! I always use it after I’m done w my makeup, before bed when my face is clean, when I travel, throughout the day. I used to think it was a gimmick, but I can’t go a day without it now.
Mario Badescu Cellular Lotion: This face moisturizer goes a LONG way. A pea sized amount covers your entire face leaving it moisturized. It’s perfect for my skin because I have a drier face, but it might not work as well if you have very oily skin. I love the amount of moisture it provides, the price point, the consistency, the packaging – everything! This is actually the only thing I’ve been wearing on my face recently, with rose water spray on top. Leaves an oily glow, which I strive for.
Nivea Essential Enriched Body Lotion: Apparently this is the secret lotion that everyone knows about?? I recently emptied a huge bottle & had to buy another from Amazon. I was bragging about how smooth it was making my skin to Wafiq, and he said “oh yeah, Nivea, it’s the best, everyone uses it.” ?? Likeeee, you couldn’t have told me that 19 years ago bro?!
Now Grape Seed Oil: MUST. I’ve reordered so many times I almost forgot to add it to this list. I’ve tried almost every oil on my face, because oils work the best for my acne, and grape seed oil is the best. Obviously, it’s oily, but don’t fear it too much. Grapeseed Oil is known for it’s anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and anti-oxidant properties along w omega chain fatty acids & vitamin E. Reportedly, Grapeseed Oil is meant to help treat acne, moisturize, even out skin tone, and protect from sunshine. (via) Which from personal experience, I can tell.
Garnier SkinActive Cleansing Water: Officially the only makeup remover I’ll probably ever buy, ever. I’ve repurchased so many times. I love the large bottle too, & it does not intimidate me whatsoever. My skin & eyes are so sensitive to products, especially makeup remover (I can’t use the makeup removing towels) & this remover works wonders! Takes everything off w one easy swipe & absolutely no irritation or oily leftover! Also, it’s only rated 3 on the Think Dirty App – if you don’t know that app we’ll have to have another conversation. 😉
Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Makeup: I RARELY repurchase makeup, because I get bored & enjoy trying new new new! But I can’t get away from this bronzer. I’ve bragged enough, but it’s truly essential to a makeup collection. This bronzer works with anything as it’s super buildable & the jar lasts FOREVER!
NYX Concealer Wand: I keep these concealer wands w me everywhere. The consistency of the product does the trick when you need to quickly conceal. The product is also light weight enough to use w your foundation routine & not feel too heavy. It blends well, easy to wear, fantastic price. I have several bottles at home, and always buy another bottle when I’m in Target or Ulta. The price point makes it too easy!
Cleansing Oil: I’ve tried a few different cleansing oils but have returned to this basic Trader Joe’s Cleansing Oil. I’ve repurchased several times, what can I say – it gets the job done! If you haven’t tried using a cleansing oil to take your makeup off, I highly recommend giving it a try. If you don’t have a Trader Joe’s near you, I’ve also used & like the Burt’s Bee’s Cleansing Oil: Here.
Loving Tan: Too obvious? Welp, it’s about to be summer & all I see is incredibly WHITE people sitting outside in the sunshine. No. How? Why? SO many questions running through my mind. It’s 2018, there’s other ways to get a tan besides that bright, shinning SUN Rays! My tanning techniques can be found: HERE
