Your Perfect Tote For Everything, Everyday

Did You Know?  In Indonesia, a traditional form of dress is called the kebaya.  Kebaya is now recognized as Indonesia’s national costume for women. Generally, Kebaya is made from sheer fabrics like silk or thin cotton.  Indonesian women make it a tradition to wear kebaya every year on April 21 to commemorate Kartini, the figure for women rights & emancipation. If you’re not bringing a notebook, water bottle, gym clothes, sweatshirt, pens, lip gloss, epi pen, dog treats, crispy chickpeas, dinner, & computer in your purse everyday… are you even working?   I hate obnoxious large totes, but I need them.  Here’s my inventory:  1 expensive tote that I use when I want to be fancy & a few cheap + affordable totes that I can easily change up or throw out whenever I want.

If I told you the number of times I dumped my entire Yeti inside my bag, you would discredit me completely from any further recommendations.

For that reason, I like having the ability to switch things up.

On evenings & weekends I keep a smaller purse because they’re cute & easy to walk with – but these are the totes I have to use every working day!

I’m giving you three options in a wide price range so you can nail down what works for you.  Whenever I give you guys options I like to keep it limited. I’m the worst when it comes to options.  The other day I was checking out in a small grocery store & they told me the min spend was $5.00.  You’re telling me I need to go find something to buy for $4.00?  Anything?!  TOO MANY OPTIONS.   PLZ just charge me the $5.00 – that’s easier than me trying to make a freaking decision w my endless options.  Anyone else have a similar issue?

3 PERFECT TOTES FOR EVERYTHING, EVERYDAY

Topshop Seline Tote:  You’ll always need a basic black tote, it’s classic.  Black is sophisticated & easy.  A tote is convenient. So the combo is necessary.  This one is affordable, a perfect size, & pretty good quality.  I especially love the gold detail on the side.  Plain black can look cheap, almost like a plastic bag??  Adding a small detail will take it up a notch.  Too much detail can get in the way.  Simple is best.   I noticed this one keeps showing as sold out online, but I’ve seen it available in Nordstrom stores the last few times I went if you’re having trouble finding it online.

Alyn Tote:  Isn’t this the most sophisticated? I had a Sole Society tote that I carried everywhere, because it was PERFECT.  You know how you have 1,000 pairs of shoes but always grab & wear that one favorite of yours?  My Sole Society tote was that for me.  The quality was incredible, especially at the price point. I love this cognac color for transitioning to fall & looking rich. Again, the small gold detail & zipper on the outside adds the perfect touch.  Don’t get me started on the leopard print detailing inside the tote, it’s like a little orgasm every time you open it to grab your sunglasses.  Lady in the street, freak in the sheets.  Exciting.

Tory Burch Small Robinson Leather Tote:  I was walking through Nordstrom & this bag caught my eye.  Let’s talk about the Pale Apricot/Royal color for a second.  I have shoes that I wear all the time in the exact same color.  It’s a pale enough pink to match just about any outfit you’re wearing.  A little darker & it’s too much of a statement color.  The color only makes me swoon for this tote even more. I’m also a lover of Tory Burch – the detail & accents of each piece gives off such a sophisticated & sexy vibe.  This tote in particular is not as big as other Tory Burch totes, which I actually love, and it has pockets to help keep you organized if that’s your jam.  I’m obsessed w this bag.

Alright, I promised 3 & that’s what I’m sticking to.  However, I linked a few other favorites below in case you happen to be reading this & you’re mentally stable.
