Where I Go Shopping Online For Dresses
If you don’t enjoy shopping for a dress, you’re doing it wrong. Dresses are the easiest thing in the closet. You can wear them for a formal event or a casual day at the shopping mall. They’re my go-to piece of clothing & I’m excited to share where I find them online.
You guys may have seen my Instagram this weekend – we attended an event themed Vanity Fair Blossom Party, which could not have been a better fit for me. If I can wear something floral, I’m in heaven. If I could wear a full floral suit, maxi dress, shoes, & jewelry all in one I’d still be trying to add an extra flower. Some people have an eye for black, mine jumps to flowers. But today, it’s all about the dresses. If you guys are in the need of a dress for an event, wedding, or your holiday parties in the coming months these are a few of my go-to places to find them online. I hit these sites often & can typically narrow it down pretty quickly when I know I need a dress for something. Be warned, I’ve browsed & ordered on 34,664 other websites but none of them are comparable to the list below. These are my ride or die places to shop for a dress that I know I’ll find something without having to look too hard.
Where I Shop Online For Dresses
Asos:
This is my first stop when shopping for dresses because I’m a premier member, meaning I pay $19/year for express shipping. The amount of times this has come in handy is immeasurable. Personally, I think having Amazon Prime for quick home needs and Asos for quick clothing needs is an ideal combo. Asos has men’s clothing too so it’s helped when Wafiq needs something quickly too. Back to the dresses, they offer a ton of different brands from a ton of different price points making it pretty easy to find whatever you’re looking for. With free shipping and free returns, I usually start at Asos.
Nasty Gal:
I like dresses from Nasty Gal, especially for fun & feminine designs. I usually size up on their styles, so keep that in mind when ordering. Once you get the fit right you can find some gold mines here. The prices are incredibly affordable for the dresses. Their selection is usually floral prints, bright colors, satin, in a style to highlight the incredibly powerful female bod. Delish.
Zara:
Zara is a sneaky little place I often forget but always find something good, even when it comes to formal dresses. The key is finding something that is good quality & fits right. That sounds obvious but that can be a little tricky at Zara. You can usually tell by the photos online – they don’t lie. A lot of my dresses are from Zara, I love the bright colors & unique patterns that you won’t find at other comparable stores. If you’re looking for something unique, this is the place to go. And online is hands-down better than shopping in-store! Their online inventory is HUGE compared to what you’ll find in the store. They deliver in recycled boxes which is an added perk & a company I like supporting.
Express:
This one is a curveball but I’ve found some really pretty & good quality dresses from Express. I say curveball because when thinking about a formal dress, Express doesn’t necessarily come to mind, but it shouldn’t be discounted. The key at Express is getting your sizing right, I’m usually sizing down at Express to make sure everything flows right. & I’m not a big fan of a lot of their other clothing as I can never manage to get the fit perfect – but their dresses work. Give them a sneak peek next time you’re looking, even for something formal!
Pretty Little Thing:
Pretty Little Thing is an online shop that carries all your sparkly, sexy dresses. If you’re needing some extra shine on your dress or a sexy cut or trendy design – check them out. I ordered a floral tube dress from them that I’m still in love with. I haven’t seen anything similar & its super comfortable & was priced well. Keep in mind, shipping can take a little longer so make sure you place your order in enough time to receive it. Another thing, the pictures don’t lie! There’s an option on this site to see a video walk of all the pieces, use it! That way you can see how the color translates, the way the outfit fits on the body & you can even tell the quality pretty well too.
I get excited about finding new places to shop so I hope you guys enjoyed these suggestions. I love a good event where you are able to dress up & feel confident! For men too! There’s nothing better than a man in a suit. That’s right, I still believe that. There’s nothing better to accompany a pretty dress, than a nice suit. Sign me up! {In Austin, the majority will disagree with me as the office attire has become more & more casual & even nicer dinner venues are welcoming a very lax look – but call me crazy I like seeing everyone all sharp & buttoned up.} Have I told you my sandal phobia? Just saying, a proper, full-coverage shoe never killed a man. Thx.
Love you guys, stay pretty 🙂
Be thoughtful
