I felt it was necessary though because it’s such big news! Moving! Again! And it’s such last-minute news that I didn’t have a lot of time to write.
For some reason, I assumed there would be American’s all over Dubai. Everyone speaks English, there’s a bustling economy – I thought American’s like to get out & explore the world!
One year later, am I still have I decided to move to Dubai?
When starting this blog I told myself I was writing to forever remind myself what this experience was like. I recently started thinking, I want to write down the things I really miss about the States now.
Bars crammed full of people smoking in each other’s faces…with low ceilings and no windows.
Even from the view I saw from the plane, I knew Dubai was something worth seeing.
Prior to this trip, the farthest I’ve ever been from home was the Dominican Republic. Although the DR is another country, it’s actually really close to the States. So boarding the plane to London, then Bahrain, I knew I was about to go a long ways away… And it FELT a long ways away.
