What an adventure that was! I’m in the U.S. now, have been for a while, and am FINALLY able to look back on the experience of living in Dubai and come to terms with the fact that I DO miss particular parts.
Holy smokes, this was close to one of the most fabulous things I’ve ever seen in person. Wafiq called it perfectly: “A Human Zoo”.
Austin is DEFINITELY the place I feel the most comfortable and myself. I thought I knew this before but only confirmed it after visiting
I’m not viewing the city as a tourist on vacation, therefore I feel like I don’t have interesting travel advice or a way for you to live a vacation through my eyes because I feel like that’s not what I’m doing. I wish.
I felt it was necessary though because it’s such big news! Moving! Again! And it’s such last-minute news that I didn’t have a lot of time to write.
Why did I decide to move to Austin after high school? Why did I choose the Dominican Republic to study abroad in? Why did I move to across the world to Dubai?
Chicago came on the map for me because Wafiq flew a direct flight to America and landed in Chicago. X
It’s only fair – If I tell you what I LOVED doing in Dubai for the year and a half I lived here, I also tell you what I should have AVOIDED.

I HATE roller coasters, water slides, and anything with heights. For many reasons -> the long lines, the risk of death, I don’t understand why people voluntarily enjoy fear
