5 Tie-Dye Pieces To Wear This Summer
I’ve always worn tie-dye clothing, the style has never left me, spiritually speaking. The problem has been, availability. The tie-dye market went dry for several years there, but I think it’s finally back in action. From the looks of it, tie-dye is trending & the options are endless. Dare I say, too much?
I was always into t-shirts or even sweaters w the multi-color effect. But the matching sets I’m seeing now? And the sweatpants, jackets, hats, handbags? Tie-dye is coming in strong. My only concern at this point is the day it leaves us again. Now is a good time to jump on the bandwagon, but I wouldn’t spend all your hard earned money on the trend – think a summertime love affair & then moving on. I don’t think everyone is as committed as I am to a lifelong relationship. And doesn’t summer just look like pretty colors tye died into a shirt from your family summer vacations?
I tried to find a few pieces that don’t scream at you. You know how a tie-dye print can sometimes feel aggressive or life-threatening? It’s either that or the complete opposite, chill weed consumption on your lunch break situation. I avoided that at all costs w these finds. I also kept things affordable & pretty pieces that I think really fit in w that summer vibration.
5 Tie Dye Pieces To Wear This Summer:
1.Dying To Know Sweater – Pink: This sweater mixes all my preferences in one. Pink, swirl, tie-dye, crop, lightweight, & affordable. Once I received the sweater I was happy to feel it’s very lightweight & will work as a great transition piece into the super hot summer months. I saw a similar sweater paired w a grey blazer on a morning TV show & it looked killer! I want to do that for work, maybe even w a t-shirt.
2. Aerie Fleece Tie Dye Jogger: These joggers are CUTE! If you want a subtle approach to tie-dye these are perfect, but they also have a blue version. I like American Eagle, usually v comfy material! I looked online & somehow they’re only $15?! Wear them on vacay after a day in the pool or in the morning lounging around. But even a weekend running errands sounds like a good time for these cozies!
3. Quad Tie Dye Bandana: I’m on a mission to make scarves work! I’ve been using them as a belt, neck accessory or in my hair – I love them & had to find a way! This scarf is super pretty, silky & such a COOL added touch to a simple outfit. If you’re just starting your scarf journey, try it wrapped around your neck w a white T & cut off shorts for an easy weekend look.
4. Tie Dye Shorts: Zara has so much tie dye right now, I’m swooning! Ultimately, these were my favorites of the options. I would prefer these shorts slightly oversized (order up a size) & love that they cover your entire butt. Ugh, is that so much to ask? They aren’t too vibrant but just enough to add a little touch of effort & the colors would go w so many shirts! Denim cut offs are my summer staple piece.
5. Tie Dye Skirt: If you live anywhere where the temperatures start increasing in the summer you need to get up to speed with a good mid-length skirt. I learned this in college after moving to Texas. A good skirt easily keeps you cool, looks pretty in any setting, & pairs well w simple shirts. This vibrant, slightly tie dyed skirt with any t shirt would work for the office or an evening dinner. With heels or sneakers. I love it so much!
Beware, Wafiq is fasting this year during Ramadan (a Muslim holiday) so making him take my pictures may be a struggle. Let’s just say his patience level isn’t the highest it’s ever been. 🙂
Anyway, what do you think of tie-dye? Into it or too much? I’m a little obsessed, but I’m the person that would wear a sequin tie dye dress just to push it a little further.
Have a great weekend everyone! Love you guys so much.
Be thoughtful,
Xx
