4 Swimsuits You’ll Want To Wear
Did You Know? It’s officially the 1st day of summer! The summer solstice 2018 in the Northern Hemisphere was at 5:07 AM, June 21. Enjoy!
Can’t find a swimsuit you love? You’re looking in the wrong places! YOU. GUYS. I went to work for you this week. I went to all the stores trying on bathing suits to find the best place with the perfect suit.
A couple things need to be made clear from the beginning. A one-piece suit is not meant for ladies with ting tangs. It doesn’t work. I tried them all on & a one-piece is simply not something I can suggest. Another thing, you have to go to girls clothing stores in order to find suits you’re comfortable in. I determined why – swimsuits for younger girls don’t encourage nip slips. Department stores, woman stores, and higher end brands are all pointed to trendy, fashion bathing suits… BUT they’re not functional. If you’re okay with an occasional nip slip & sheer fabrics, your options are endless. If you’re looking for something comfortable & functional – go to girls swimwear >> think: American Eagle, PacSun, Hollister, ect. I haven’t been in those store for years but they’re back on my radar.
Also, if we’re being honest here, I’ve never been a bikini babe or someone who sunbathes. It’s too hot, like I’m uncomfortable & impatient… Body confidence also comes into play, as it does for most of us. BUT, I do love water sports; like skiing & I get excited about actually swimming. Being on the lake, in a boat, laps at the pool, anywhere near or on water – makes me happy.
Because that’s how I tend to enjoy the pool, I don’t typically enjoy super skimpy swimsuits because… I don’t want to fall out of it while I’m swimming like a small mouth bass through the water. You feel me?
SO here’s the deal. You need a variety of swimsuits so you can always feel confident when you have to be in one. You need one that’s fun, one that’s very functional, and one classic. That way you’ll always have something in your arsenal that’ll make you feel ready for any invite!
Let’s make the pool fun again!
4 Swimsuits You’ll Want To Wear This Summer
This swimsuit is so pretty & comfortable! I tried on many similar to this one but none of them fit the same way. The texture of the fabric makes you feel luxurious & both pieces reveal just enough skin to make them functional, but still sexy. Also, affordable! I bought the white version, which they still have in store, but other colors are also available online. Hollister had killer suits, pretty fabrics! You’ll see a few more on my lists.
Here’s why you need a bright Neon suit – it makes you look skinny + tan. Neon pink, yellow, blue, or even green really stands out in all the right ways. They also make you look great in pictures! This one in particular is calling my name because of its high neck line & being that its totally functional. Everything will definitely stay in place & the high neck line is surprisingly slimming. And Pac Sun has approved suits, I tried them on too! Plenty of other pretty options to check out.
Only if you must. Dare I say that? I tried on every one-piece that I could find & didn’t land on one that I was obsessing over. I do have medium curves, but I imagine a one-piece looks a lot more appropriate on the leaner body type – but it’s a difficult find for me. This one from American Eagle was the best one I found & I ALMOST bought it. I think I’ll actually order it online instead. A tip for one pieces, the thicker the bands, the more flattering. I will say, there’s something about a classic, one piece, black suit that will always look sexy.
I’ve had my eye on this swimsuit for a few weeks now! It’s not functional. I can tell you that from trying on a million similar swimsuits, but it’s so perfect for a badass picture. So if you’re looking for that & you just want to be a sex muffin – I vote this one. I love the rings, the black + white, the cut, the texture. Everything. Very pretty woman & very unique.
The key is – trying the suits on yourself. And you’re welcome because I did that for you 🙂 I’m confident in the suits above & the stores they’re in – it’s all about the fabric!
Where do you buy your suits? SHARE because I’m sure I missed a few. Anyone else have thoughts on a one-piece? I can’t be the only one… OooOO, this swimsuit topic got me excited that it’s SUMMER! (I’m still very into it. Give me until mid-August to be over the heat.)
Have a great weekend everyone! I’m about to go watch Handmaids Tale & I can NOT wait! My ultimate favorite show of all time, ever. Besides Friends.
Be thoughtful.
