3 Staple Black Pants to Wear to the Office
When I worked in an office I required black pants I could easily rotate. They’re the easiest to match, they draw no extra attention, and they’re comfortable. Again, necessary.
With fall weather around the corner I know pants are making their appearance towards the front of the closet, it’s time. However, not in Texas apparently. We’re still hitting 100-degree weather for some God forsaken reason. Plz sweet baby Jesus someone save me. I almost cried when I got out of the car yesterday because the heat hit my skin like a torchlight and I had frustrated tears grace my eyeballs. I feel Earth calling me to the ice. Anywayz.
For those of you living in an environment that isn’t trying to cook you alive, you’re ready for PANTS. I’m pretty picky when it comes to black pants. I don’t want to spend too much on them, but they absolutely must be comfortable if I’m going to wear them to the office at least once a week. I tried to find 3 different pairs of black pants, so if you wanted all 3 of them to rotate through your entire workweek, you’re good! Variety, but not too much you know?
Also, you should know – I went to 2 different shopping malls to make sure I found pants that I actually love & would be happy buying + wearing myself. There were a lot of fails, but these ones came out on top. I’m confident enough in all 3 options to share 🙂
3 Black Pants to Wear to the Office

Here are some classic black pants for you! I like going to H&M for office pants because you don’t have to spend a lot of money on the clothes you wear to work. Because who wants to do that, you know? These pants sit just below the belly button, so if you want to wear something that’s not uber high waisted, these are for you. Sometimes high waisted pants can be annoying because your waistline easily gets lost – you need to tuck in or wear a cropped shirt to show you have a tummy. Having a lower waist pant as an option is ideal. Not LOW waist, just lower than high waisted. Make sense? (God please never let low waist come back in style.) I like the small slit detail in the bottom of the leg. I picked these black pants because of the length, tapers perfectly at the ankle. I would size UP.

Leith wide-leg pants will answer all your workwear dreams. They’re high waisted, a bit stretchy, wide-legged, and uber comfortable. They’re also reasonably priced for what you’re getting & often go on sale. I love them so much I bought them in Tan Adobe too. I prefer wearing these with flats so the bottom of the leg barely hits the floor. These pants look great with any shirt tucked in so you can see the waistline & not look like you’re drowning in clothes. They’re so easy. I consider them the most versatile pants on this list. I’ll wear these on a night out with a crop top too! I’m 5’5 and they just hit the floor with a flat shoe, and I would either order down a size or true to size!

I fell in true love with these pants. Like butterflies in my stomach, love. They are perfect. They’re a thicker pant so they’ll definitely keep you warm through the winter season, they glide across your body comfortably, and they hit the waist at the perfect height. These pants are your curveball black option, still black but adding a little variety to the mix w a pattern. Most importantly, they’re comfortable! Although they’re a bit more expensive than other options, in my opinion, they’re totally worth every penny, easily. They’ll last a long time & you’ll wear them over and over and over again. Trust. (also worth noting, they have a few other awesome color options in the same cut: dark brown checks / dark grey)
So good! The black pants of your office style dreams! I took the struggle out of it. I used to hate dressing for the office, one of my dreaded past times. Those of you that still have to, I hope these options help! I tried them all on & know they’ll do you justice. Black pants are just so easy to wear, your closet will thank you.
