For almost anyone working in an office every single day the challenge of finding the right outfit each morning is REAL. Not because you’re necessarily trying to impress anyone, more because it feels redundant. But today I have you covered – boosting your office style, with skirts.
In the summer, skirts are perfect to wear to the office. They’re comfortable, they match a ton of tops, & they don’t get too hot when you take your lunch break. I used to do laps around the parking lot as a mental break during my workday, so having an outfit cool enough to comfortably walk outside in was essential.
I went on a little hunt to find the perfect skirts for you guys. I told myself not to buy any of them because I have way too many skirts as it is, but I like casually shopping so I trusted myself to do the work for you. I may not be able to dress a fashion runway, but I’ve worked in my fair share of offices so hopefully, this will help you get dressed in the morning for yours.
Keep in mind, I’m specific when it comes to a good skirt. They have to hit at the right spot, between the knee & ankle. They also have to be thick enough to make absolutely sure there’s no nakedness happening. I want them to be cute enough to wear to work or pair with a crop top & heels for a dinner date. Versatile. I want affordable, I want quality, I want comfort. Too much?

Topshop Gingham Ruffle Midi Skirt
I brought this skirt into the dressing room thinking I wouldn’t even bother trying it on, but it ended up being my favorite! I love the bright yellow & light fabric for summer & I found it very easy to style. The skirt ended up matching several shirts I pulled into the dressing room. The flare at the bottom is the perfect detail to help the skirt fall comfortably. I could easily wear this skirt over & over again & it would definitely brighten up any office. You could style it with any color – a pink blouse, green tank, blue sweater or any of your white tops. Love it!
Flowy A-Line Midi Skirt in Zebra Print
Animal print is IN right now so you should feel totally comfortable wearing it yourself. This skirt is SO cute, I knew the second I walked by that I would love it. Zebra, in particular, is awesome because you can match it with almost anything! I know that doesn’t sound obvious, but trust me. Even a simple white t-shirt with some jewelry that adds a pop of color would work. Or a black blouse. Or a blush cardigan! The quality, length, cut, comfort & price of this skit are ALL desirable. There are 3 patterns of the same skirt: zebra, leopard, spots. All of them are beautiful! I would size down.
Topshop Double Slit Pleated Satin Midi Skirt
This skirt MELTS over you in the best ways. The double slits create added comfort & movement but they don’t cut very high revealing too much skin. I would have bought this skirt in all 3 colors if I was reckless. I can’t think of a skirt that fits me better. Pro tip – If you ever have trouble finding what top to wear w any of the skirts, try to find one that is in the same color family. This was a huge test of my shopping addiction because I desperately wanted to buy all 3 of these skirts… in all their colors. I have to donate a few from my current closet before I’ll allow myself to buy more.
As soon as I started thinking Texas heat was actually decent & I was no longer intolerable, last weekend happened. It’s fucking hot. And I can NOT tolerate. Perfect time to bust out the wavy skirts & light tops – it’s the only way.
