Three Wish Worthy Easter Dresses

Did You Know?  67% of Millennials and 56% of Gen Xers prefer to shop on online rather than in-store.

( v i a )

Happy Monday!

I made the mistake of trying to go shopping recently & immediately regretted my decision to skip shopping online… Ughhhh… is anyone else online only?!  It’s so much easier than parking at a mall, going into a crowded store, digging around for your size, (and most recently) dealing with the hottest dressing room of all time!

So, I’m back to strictly online shopping & spent the weekend looking for Easter/Spring looks.   Spring is my favorite because I get to wear flowers, pastels, lace, pink, dresses – everything that runs through my blood.

Three Wish Worthy Easter Dresses:

Natasha Ruffle Bodycon Dress

I like dresses that can multi-task.  Something that I feel like a girl in but can dress up for a sexy little night out or dress down for a casual day at brunch.  P.S Nasty Gal’s inventory is always changing & with their sales you can count on finding budget friendly options.  (Similar: HERE)

White Garden Party Maxi Dress

Works for Easter or any day this Spring, right?  I’m not always about the long, flowy, maxi dresses because they’re so loose & allow too much room to comfortably eat – several days of that in a row will add major pounds to my waistline without even knowing… But I think one really pretty maxi for Spring is manageable.  (Similar: HERE)

Jumpsuit with Frill Peplum in Scuba Crepe

If you haven’t noticed from Instagram, I would wear a jumpsuit every single day.  I bring my dog with me everywhere I go, even places that are a little more formal – so I prefer wearing something a step up from my workout tights.  Jumpsuits allow me to manage the dog without showing my hoo-ha, & look decent.  (Plus, I’m loving hot pink… always.)

Have a great week everyone!  I’m about to start the Last Man Standing series on Netflix for the 3rd time in a row… It’s too funny & I hate to admit, has possibly tied New Girl for my fav shows. I watch the episodes over & over & over… & over. Wafiq hates me.

Enjoy your day & be thoughtful

15 Things To Get Done This Spring

Did You Know: It’s World Poetry Day March 21st so I thought I would share this one:

Some days,

I feel everything at once.

Other days,

I feel nothing at all.

I don’t know what’s worse:

Drowning beneath the waves

or dying from the thirst. ( o.m. )

I love places with 4 seasons because they’re precious & only a few parts of the world get to fully experience them. For the rest of us, Spring is a date on the calendar & something to pretend we actually experience.

Spring Checklist

I use the change of seasons as a check in.

I hate getting comfortable.  I’m 50% a lover of routine & my home BUT I’m 50% ready to pack a suitcase & start a new life-altering adventure next Tuesday.  Too much comfort gives me anxiety. That’s why, with the change of seasons, I try to get my shit together.  Mix in a couple planned trips, organize my memories, and throw things out!

I’m also the person that has lists EVERYWHERE.  I have a list for every thought in my mind.  As I was making my Spring To Do List I thought I should turn it into a post so you guys don’t have to sit down & do the brainstorming.   Maybe you can take a few things off my list to add to your own, and share a couple things from your Spring lists?  Changing little parts of our routines & making plans is key to cultivating adventures. And who doesn’t like adventures?

  • Take advantage of the sun being out & workout outside (… and shed any added winter weight)

  • Start your allergy medicine regime

  • Buy extra flowers to fill all of your rooms, this is the time to go overboard!

  • Change up your wardrobe, wear florals & pastel colors like: this floral maxi dress & this pink sweater

  • Organize or create your outdoor space (yard or patio) & get a fire pit to have a few fires

  • Start mastering your self-tanning routine, for help: Click Here

  • Order your summer swimsuits, a favorite: one piece here & two piece here

  • Plan your summer vacation & weekend getaways

  • Bring your doggie on a canoe, before it gets too hot & uncomfortable for them

  • Go Camping! While all the flowers are blooming & it’s cold at night

  • Organize your photos from the year so you can start fresh

  • Backup your phone (I’m the worst at this)

  • Download music that has a Spring vibe: Like this or this

  • Write down 5 things your grateful for this Spring

Spring Checklist

Ok, what did I miss? Favorite Spring activities?

I’m currently off to grill burgers.  We haven’t been grilling recently but the weather is already starting to steam in Texas so the BBQ has been calling.  Not to mention it’s been forever since I indulged in my all-time favorite Basic Burger salad & something about the warmer weather has me craving it!  (Can you tell I’m starving hungry?!)

As always, be thoughtful

The Spring To-Do List

Spring is officially here!

I’m obsessed with Spring because it finally allows me to wear floral print {everything} without needing an explanation.

It’s also the time of season that I realize stuffing my face with 3 breakfast tacos every Sunday isn’t working out well for my body.

{The shorts are out and the jiggle can’t hide.}

Spring is fresh + airy.  Time to get out of the stuffy house, open the windows, and prepare for fresh air, fresh looks, and a fresh attitude!

Spring Week: To Do List (Get er done)

Hardcore. Get rid of everything. After moving internationally, and having issues committing to one location for too long + traveling…  I’ve realized the importance of having L E S S.  One of the downers to living in the same place for too long is all the shit you end up collecting. Having clutter, or unnecessary things, weighs you down. I promise, one of the best feelings is having close to nothing – you can do anything! I’m a hoarder at heart but I KNOW having less brings clarity. I load up a box and drop it off before I have time to think twice. BYE.

Or any flowers for that matter. You can get them super inexpensively at the grocery store and it’s worth it.  You’d be surprised the fresh attitude a tiny bouquet of flowers can bring into the house, and if there’s any time to give it a try –> it’s SPRING!  Buying a little bouquet of flowers is my new Sunday tradition and I’m currently loving it.

You know how good fresh flowers makes you feel inside your house? Imagine you wear that feeling around….

Make a colorful spring salad, or buy pretty veggies. Take on some lemon cookies or strawberry shortcake.  Once you’ve purged, bought flowers, look like a flower, and feel like you’re blooming into a monarch butterfly… Nothing will top it off better than some freshly tossed salad and a homemade lemon cookie.  I’m ALL ABOUT cooking at home these days, and filling the house with that homemade scent is what you need to be doing this week.

That’s right, don’t forget to bring that happiness right inside the door of someone else.   With the Spring + Easter feelings in the air it’s super important to think about more than your own purging to-do’s.  Giving, completes the circle.  If you’re me, and won’t be going over to anyone’s house on Easter, than think of another way to give for Spring this week. Send a thank you card, make a surprise, share cookies, be extra kind…

Any other Spring MUST-do’s I’ve missed? Please share 🙂
